Our story
The Ugani Foundation began with Ugani Prosthetics, an initiative dedicated to the design and creation of innovative prosthetic solutions. We have witnessed the difference a tailored prosthesis can make in an individual’s life, not only restoring mobility but also instilling confidence and dignity.
However, as we embarked on this journey, a larger reality emerged before us: while technology and innovation were crucial, there was an equally pressing need to ensure that these prosthetics are accessible to all who require them, especially in low and middle-income countries.
This is how, driven by this awareness, the Ugani Foundation came into existence. We expanded our mission, not only seeking to develop prosthetics but also to establish programs and initiatives that would ensure that every amputee, regardless of their economic or geographic situation, has access to these essential tools.
Since then, our journey has continued to grow and evolve. What began as a mission to improve prosthetic technology has become a broader cause to improve lives. We are proud of the progress we have made, but remain determined to continue our quest because as long as there is an amputee without the means to regain their mobility, our work is not done.
